Chanel Inspired Bridal Shower: The Details

Miss Type-A that I am, I am a sucker for details!  And the details from our Chanel Inspired Bridal Shower Shoot are AH-MAZ-ING!  Remember, this was a styled shoot, not a real bridal shower.  So it is meant to inspire only...

Invitation by Tilde Designs

Desserts by Jay's Catering

All florals by Heavenly Blooms

The shoot was planned by myself and Jaclyne from Heavenly Blooms.  The event planning and design was carried out by Jaclyne and In The Now Weddings.  It was shot by Jasmine Star, located at the Richard Nixon Library, and the furniture was provided by Luxe Event Rentals and Classic Party Rentals.

To see more of this shoot, see this week's previous posts, or the feature on Style Me Pretty.  And check back tomorrow for more!

J'adore Paris

It was four months ago that my husband and I left for our honeymoon.  We had a day & night in Paris on our way to Italy, and we've been jonesing to go back to Paris ever since.  Until then, I'll be dreaming of Paris...

Top Row:  birds photo by Elizabeth Messina, invitation by Ice Cream Social, eiffel tower photo by me, Dior ad via Rizty Bee
Middle Row:  Moet picture from Wedding Style Guide, dress from Martha Stewart Weddings, menu by Cynthia Warren,
Bottom Row:  Calligraphy by Maybelle, photo via Brides, flags from Vintage Weave, photo by me

I would love to style a wedding based on this Parisian insipration.  Think of the possibilities!

Balmain Blasphemy...

*Sigh*
Balmain, Balmain, Balmain...
I was so looking forward to seeing this collection and frankly it isn't live up to my high expectations. I LOVED the SS09 collection so much that this one just couldn't meet the hype.
Their latest collection is:

a) Very costume like with lots of gold latex and of course a sprinkling of trademark sequins.
b) Alot pirate- think Keira Knightley from Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest in her big military style coat.
c) A bit of glam-meets-tramp with lots of distressed t-shirts and denim in dark hues.
d) NOT AT ALL Spring Summer-esque. There is no colour and the designs just don't jump out at me like they usually do.
