{Real Wedding} Jessica & Dwight: Cheery Morning Ceremony with Fun Nighttime 80's Themed Reception

This wedding is doubly good.  It is full of cheery yellow love in its morning ceremony, and the couple had an 80's themed party as their reception later that night.  With an 80's cover band and everyone wearing 80's outfits.  I would love to be invited to a wedding like that so I could get my crimper out of retirement (you know you had a crimper too!)

The ceremony venue was pure rustic gorgeousness.

At the end of the ceremony, guests serenaded the couple with "All You Need is Love" by The Beatles.

I love DIY petal cones!

There may be nothing better than billy button boutonnieres.

The stationery suite set the warm and cheery tone.
And check out that 80's themed reception card above!

The lovely florals were simple single arrangements and multiples in vintage mason jars and bottles.

And now, on to the party!

This might be my favorite picture.  Ever.

If you're the bride and having an 80's themed party, who better to be than Madonna!?

What a happy and fun wedding!  It looked like a true celebration of the couple and I'm so honored I got to share it with you.  Congrats Jessica and Dwight!

Real Wedding Rehearsal Dinner

I had to share this fabulous rehearsal dinner I saw on Style Me Pretty designed by Jennifer at Salt Harbor Designs and shot by Millie Holloman.  I think these same ideas would make for an amazing wedding!

Mason Jar Love

I've always been a lover of aqua mason jars.  They just remind me of where I'm from (Ohio) and growing up there.  I have posted on them a few times here, here, and how I used them in my own wedding here.

Now I have a huge collection of them and am looking for different ways to use them and incorporate them into my home.  We keep one on our desk for pens and another one for loose change.  I have a window sill lined with vintage jars and bottles in different sizes and colors.  And of course I use them for floral containers, not to mention for drinking my sweet tea.  But how about these two creative uses for mason jars in your home after you've used them in your wedding:

1.  Mason Jar Light fixtures
I found this great DIY mason jar light project on Design*Sponge.  While it isn't the easiest DIY project out there, it is definitely worth the effort.  Check out the full post here.

2.  Mason Jar Soap Dispenser
Found in my current issue of Country Living, this DIY soap dispenser looks like a simple project and cute way to dress up a sink with your hand soap dispenser.

You will need to measure and mark the center of the zinc lid.  Drill a hole about a half inch wide at the center of the lid to fit the width of the soap dispenser pump.  Fill the jar with soap, insert the pump in the hole (trim if needed) and voila, new soap dispenser!

Anyone else have any creative uses for mason jars?

Rustic Charm Wedding Details

I love the details from this rustic barn wedding, spotted on Ruffled Blog and shot by Christian Parreira.

The florals are gorgeous and I adore that wooden boutonniere!
