Summer is (officially) underway, and I’ve come to realize there are a few pieces out there that are must-haves for the season.

	Unique Footwear Everyone and their sister is out flip-flopping in some sort of sandal, and the last thing I want is to saunter up to the bar, only to realize that every other girl lined up along the zinc is wearing some clone of the same strappy shoe. Forget Ruby Slippers, I’ll Take Those Gold Ones

I’ve been clinging to my patent leather shoes since the first of the year, but now that the sun is bright and the days are just about as long as they’re gonna get, reflective metallics are catching my eye. Normally I don’t have Shiny Object Syndrome, but with boots like these from Marc by Marc Jacobs and sandals from Dolce Vita and K. Jacques, I’m beginning to understand the appeal.
