My summer starts here

So it's the first day of my sumer holidays; I'm free!

Finally my 17 exams are over (it was official when I tore up my exam timetable into teeny tiny little pieces and also binned all my old notes) and I now have 10 weeks of sunshine ahead of me. Hallelujah!

So to celebrate I am going to have a chilled out afternoon and visit the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize (which I went to last year and loved so I bet there will be even more amazing new talent there this year) and then this evening I am going to my best friends' joint fancy dress birthday party, which is 'Under The Sea' themed. I am going as a mermaid. Don't ask me how that is going to work- I am hoping that with my new Topshop maxi dress and with Xanthe May's genius MAC and hair crimping skills I'm going to look good.

(Might even post some photos tomorrow if you're lucky)

And hopefully because I have all this time off I can get around to a lot more blogging, checking out my favourites, finding new ones and posting lots more.

Oh and photos by me on my lovely jubbly Canon, of my darling little sister, in my humble back garden. Hope you like them!

Finally, tell me, are you up to any adventures this fine Saturday?
*Many blogging virtual hugs and kisses*
Beth Ruby xoxo

ps) Can anyone be an absolute darling and let me know how to post my photographs all big and beautiful on my blog?

Lara you are a stunner.

I spent my lunch money on Vogue today.
But how could I resist this?

ps) That has to be the ultimate Princess ball gown. Love it.

Oh crap, back to school tomorrow

And as I predicted when I was given the homework 7 weeks ago I still have not finished the english paper. I am getting too distracted by the teen Vogue "Smarty Pants" shoot...

Oxford University Trip

I just got back from a school trip to the classics centre at the university yesterday and it was amazing!

We went to seminars, had undergraduates give us a tour of the site and had lunch where they filmed the great hall scene in Harry Potter!

There are lots of amazing buildings, churches, canals, ponds with ducklings and waterlilies and intellectual types reading books on benches. And everyone cycles everywhere so there are loads and loads of bikes locked up outside of the university.
It's perfect.

I have decided I am grabbing my bicycle and moving to Oxford.

This is even what the starbucks looks like!

Taking Salvation from Nikes

You wouldn't believe how big the bump in my finger is from writing. It's crazy.
I haven't stopped doing RE past paper questions since I got back from school and now I am taking a well deserved study break.
Its bad enough having to do GCSE revision but what's worse is that it is a GCSE I never wanted to do (Religious Studies is compulsory in my school...)
AND it's my birthday on Friday in the midst of all these tedious exams.

However life must go on so here are the Liberty for Nike Dunk trainers I have been lusting after for a while.
I am not really a "Nike Trainer type person" and with the usual Nikes I don't think I could really get away with them but these ones are just amazing and I can definitely pull them off.
Perhaps a trip to Office will be needed with my birthday money?
B xx
