Welcome Back

So an acquaintance of mine got engaged over the holidays and asked to take me to lunch to get wedding advice, ideas, and tips.  It got me back in the wedding mood!  She is getting married in October at a rustic So Cal venue, and I can't wait to see what she does with the styling.  I made an inspiration board for her with the color palette of warm yellow, peaches and orange, craft paper, and brown.  What do you think?

That Vera Wang dress Michelle Williams wore to the Oscars is still hands down one of my all-time favorites.  That color is A-MAZ-ING!

Inspiration Board: Fall on the Farm

Autumn is my favorite season.  Cooler breezes and scarves, colorful leaves, pumpkin spice lattes- there is so much to love!  Unfortunately, it was 96 yesterday in LA, and we don't get a lot of the fall weather or changing leaves that I'm used to from my childhood days in Ohio.  So, I look to the internet for autumn inspiration!  And Kathryn from Snippet & Ink never disappoints in the inspiration department.  I'm loving this fall inspiration board she created:

With fall officially upon us, I wanted to wear something simple, yet uber feminine today... and with the sun shining down-- for the time being at least-- this little jacket proved to be the perfect choice. It's super lightweight and obviously not equipped for chillier weather (what with half of it missing and all), so I jumped at the chance to wear it before having to transition into hard-core winter gear (and believe me, it's inevitable). I felt like a young schoolgirl again, a modern day Madeline if you will, in my little bow-adorned coat... all I need now is red hair and a yellow hat and I'm set.
